I have decided I need to get used to my Shimano SPD Pedals, as I was having difficulty getting loose from them. So I am riding with my New Bontrager Shoe and SPD Pedal on my left foot, and a regular pedal and shoe on the right. Yesterday we rode 14 + miles that way and I never put my right foot on the ground the whole trip, making me clip and un-clip the left, to do everything, this way I can rely on my right in an emergency if I have to with out thinking, therefore avoiding another fall. Today I did the same, didn't use my right foot at all to stop or balance, I am getting better at clipping in without looking at my foot and I can un-clip better also, as soon as I feel real good, I with switch feet and train my right so I don't fall on my ass, or worse. Next Wednesday we a re planning to go to the Trek Factory in Waterloo, Wisconsin to tour the factory and hopefully ride a path in that area.
